Preschool

The Preschool Ministry at FBC Snyder is dedicated:

• to working alongside parents as they put into place the first steps of a biblical foundation that teaches their children (birth to PreK) to know that God made them and loves them and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

• to providing a safe and secure environment that is staffed by trained workers and loving volunteers, allowing parents the opportunity to be equipped for discipling their children as well as connecting with other parents in common community groups.

What to Expect:

Our Nursery and PreK areas are staffed by both volunteers and paid child care workers who are in place at least fifteen minutes before an event is scheduled to begin so that parents may drop off children and have time to reach their destination easily. Nursery is available for children from birth to 4 years old during both worship services and the Bible study hour.  When registering a child at the Welcome Center inside the nursery, visiting parents will be given a  number which can be used to contact them in the Worship Center if necessary.  Parents are asked to have diaper bags, pacifiers, bottles, and sippy cups plainly labeled with the name of the child.  We extend every effort to make children feel loved and at ease; however, if your child does cry, we will do everything we can to calm and reassure him.  Remember that the more consistent parents are in bringing their children to church, the quicker they will settle in and feel comfortable in class.

A separate area in the nursery wing is available for nursing mothers.

Children are usually given a snack of juice (Tang) or water and crackers during the Bible Study time.  Occasionally, the snack is a part of the lesson and may be different.  Parents are asked to notify us of any food allergies when registering their children.

We do ask that your child be healthy if you are leaving him/her with us.  For the sake of the other children, please do not bring children that are sick.

Virginia is a retired school teacher who loves the Lord and kids. She does a fantastic job making sure our little ones are safe and secure. Virginia makes sure we have plenty of help every time the nursery is open.
